Our Newsletter will cover great advice on home and office design. We will include wonderful success stories so you get inspired as well. At TOPITZ DESIGN STUDIOS, we are constantly working on new ideas and projects, so stay tuned.

SMOKE & MIRRORS (TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF)
Home owners Betsy and Scott Worthheimer (the picture is above, their living room) wanted their living room to REFLECT their personal style."We want our living room to feel open and airy, a place where we can entertain as well as recharge".
Mirrored or reflective surfaces, such as marble, lucite, granite, mirror, and glass, give life to an otherwise drab decor. By reflecting light from within the space the illusion of more rather than less space is supported. Not enough windows?
Hang a mirror!
Simply because they are transparent, glass and lucite tables are also a perfect solution to not interrupting the flow of a room. By allowing the floor to be visible, the room automatically looks larger and less cluttered and remains functional.
Now the Wortheimer's can enjoy an open, fluid, calming living room.

CHOOSING A COLOR SCHEME FOR YOUR SPACE

Start by choosing a color scheme.
One simple way to do this is
to find a favorite color combination in something you already
have. A favorite piece of art, such as a vase, painting, tapestry, or
the fabric on a couch or pillow, can help navigate you toward the
right choices.

Downsizing from a large living space to a smaller one can be extremely challenging and stressful. What to keep? What should stay? How does one go from married to single, (we to me)?
